气力运送与其他运送机械相比，有以下长处。
Compared with other conveying machinery, pneumatic conveying has the following advantages.
1）运送管道结构简略，占据地面和空间小，走向灵敏，管理简略。

气力运送的长处是生产率高、设备简略、结构紧凑、运用方便、运送间隔长，管线可以敷设在地下或空中、保护简略。缺点是能量消耗大（比机械运送大10～15倍），不能运送黏性、湿润和大块的物料。
